Harlan Mathias
 and the
13th Army Air Corps

Harlan Mathias enlisted in the Army Air Corp in 1943.  He spent a number of months state side in Kearns Utah undergoing basic training before eventually sent to the Phillipines with the 13th Army Air Corps in 1944.

Here's Harlan in front of everyone's favorite haunts--
Club Thirteen.  It wasn't much but the men assigned to the 13th Army Air Corps thousands of miles from home made do with what they had on hand. Okay, broken propeller--a couple of bombs--and you've got a club!
