Taxi, Taxi...!

One day after rains muddied up the roads making them impassable, Harlan and his 'buds' wanted to go to town. Transportation was shutdown and town lay just across the rice patty. Undaunted, they hired a farmer to take them across the patty on his water buffalo.  I never heard the story of how they got back to base!
