A weekend writing retreat sponsored by the Nebraska Writers’ Guild will culminate Sunday afternoon, July 19, with readings at the 2 p.m. Brownville Lyceum Forum. Charlie Vogel and Sally Walker, officers of the Guild, will orchestrate the retreat, which will be held at the Brownville River Inn and will begin on Friday evening with a 6 p.m. bagpipe concert on the River Inn third deck. Both the concert and the forum are free and open to the public.
